The Kids’ Creative Art centre is based in the central region of Ghana. The art centre w We are looking for volunteers to help staff the project. Ideally, two volunteers will work on the project at one time. Volunteers will assist children to develop their cognitive abilities through creative methods using constructive materials, paints, clay and drawing. They will also help to keep the centre clean, teach basic English and report on daily activities to local staff.

This is a great program for creative volunteers as they will have the opportunity to design and implement recreational and educational activities for the children. We encourage volunteers to use their skills and interests to develop fun things for the children to do such as music and dance, arts and crafts, etc. Resources on are limited so donations from volunteers are greatly appreciated. This is important for those volunteers who are designing activities that might be new to the centre.

    Sports Coaching

      Internship
      Sports Coaching

Sport is an amazing way of bringing people from different backgrounds and cultures together. It is not confined by boundaries or borders, it is not discriminatory, nor is it judgmental. Our sports development program is perfect for those volunteers who have a love of sports, and who wish to share this love with others.

Volunteers in India on the sports development program work in rural parts of Ghana coaching specific sports at local schools, the most popular being volleyball, football and Table Tennis . As a volunteer on this program, you will help provide a platform to school children to not only improve their fitness and health, but also to enjoy more play time with their friends.

Activities include conducting training drills and games and arranging inter-school/community competitions and tournaments. Volunteers will have the opportunity to bring their skills and interests to this program.

        Elementary Education

          Internship
          Elementary Education

Most of our projects are in elementary schools in and around the traditional Agona Swedru area, about an hour western of Accra. You will generally be asked to take the scheduled English classes for a range of ages or alternatively be assigned to one particular class and assist with all subjects throughout the day.

Your encouragement, praise, and some fun and interactive lessons are often all that are needed to spark an interest in the language and a desire to learn more. Your friendly Ghanaian teaching colleagues act as supervisors and ensure that you feel happy with your classes. They will have a good command of the English language themselves which will make your life that much easier.

French, geography, music, sports – particularly soccer – drama, art, and many other extra-curricular subjects are always welcome additions to the curriculum in most of our placements. Provided you can offer the basic provision of conversational English lessons, our partner schools are eager to let you develop the children’s interests in other areas as well.
